Ingredients you need
Paneer
Maida Flour (All purpose flour)
Corn flour
2 Big Onions
2 Big Capsicums
100g Red chilli powder
50g Ginger Garlic Paste
2 small green chillies
Garlic
Spring Onion
Half Lemon
Soy sauce
Black pepper
Salt
Cooking Oil
1. Prepare Paneer Cubes
- Mix 5 tbsp maida, 3tbsp cornflour, 2 pinches of black pepper and salt by adding water.
- The paste should not be very thin, should be thick enough to coat paneer cubes.
- Cut paneer into cubes and dip each into the paste prepared above.
- Then take a pan and add some oil
- Put all the paneer cubes into the heated oil and fry till cubes become golden brown.
- Keep them aside to cool.
2. Prepare Chilli Paste
- Grind ginger paste and red chilli powder together and keep aside.
- Then take a pan, pour some oil, add 1 tbsp chopped garlic and chopped green chillies. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Then, add the prepared paste to the pan and add some water.
- Cook until you get a thick chilli paste. (Oil should not be seen separately).
- Transfer the paste into a bowl and keep aside.
3. Prepare Chilli Paneer Gravy
- In the same pan, add some oil and add finely chopped onions and stir till onion turns to golden colour.
- Add chopped capsicums and stir for 2 minutes. Do not overcook.
- Then, add the prepared chilli paste and add some lemon juice, 2 tbsp soy sauce, water and salt to taste. Mix all together well.
- Finally, mix 1 tbsp cornflour and 2 tbsp of water in a bowl and pour the mixture to the prepared chilli paste.
- Stir continuously without taking hand until you get a gravy texture.
- Turn off the flame and add fried paneer cubes and finely chopped spring onions for taste.
Chilli Paneer is READY TO EAT!
Serve hot with rice, chapati or butter naan.
